Blossoming Spring Trees
1 minute read
Working with our hands can be very calming to our bodies. Creating with our hands can be very soothing to our souls.
Tree branch or twig, any size
Playdough or clay, small golf-ball size lump
Tissue paper or construction paper, cut into small squares (approx. 1/2" or 1/4" square)
Glue
Q-tip or brush for gluing
Make the twig or branch into a tree-like shape by removing side branches until there is one central "trunk" with branches coming out of that. Roll the playdough into a ball, slightly flatten, and put the twig into that as a base; shape to make it a sturdy base.
Take paper squares, either crumpled into a ball or left as squares, and glue to the tips of the branches to put "blossoms" on your tree.
